Biography

Angie Gifford serves as Vice President for the EMEA region at Meta, overseeing the business development for the platforms Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, and Meta Quest in countries across Europe, the Middle East, and the African continent. Previously, Angie was Vice President of the Central Europe region at Meta. Until the end of 2018, she led Hewlett-Packard's (HP) software and digitization business in German-speaking countries as managing director. Previously, Angie spent more than 20 years in various senior management positions at Microsoft in Germany and abroad, including as a member of the German executive management team. In 2009, an independent organization honored Angie as “businesswoman of the year”. The leading German business publication “manager magazin” voted her one of the 100 most influential businesswomen. Angie also serves as a member of the board of the German-American non-profit association “Atlantik-Brücke” and is part of the corporate supervisory board of Thyssenkrupp. She formerly served on the supervisory boards of TUI, ProSiebenSat.1 and Rothschild.
