Lecture Description
Highly automated driving will, among many benefits, improve cities’ quality of life, offer personalized mobility at mass-transit prices and reduce accidents by up to 90%. But to achieve all this, and more, requires reinventing today’s mobility business models. As key elements of the new digital core, data and AI will be at the heart of making mobility more sustainable, affordable and safer. And they will be critical enablers of software-defined vehicles offering an immersive user experience and accelerating the shift to revenue from digital services, which will rise to USD 1.5 trillion by 2030. Those digital services will increasingly define the brand experience in, around and beyond the vehicle. In parallel, highly automated vehicles – and mobility more generally – will be increasingly offered as a service and fueled by data and AI to drive a step-change in performance and accelerate mobility’s reinvention.
